Mifa collects personal data. This privacy statement applies to all services offered by Mifa and with which personal data is collected. In this privacy statement you can read everything about how we collect your personal data and for what purpose. In addition, all your rights with regard to your data and how you can make use of those rights can be found here. 

The privacy statement will sometimes be changed due to, for example, legislative changes. It is therefore advisable to consult the statement periodically. A modified privacy statement applies from the date as stated here. Also view our cookie statement. 

Identity and contact details of the controller

The person responsible for the processing of personal data is Mifa Aluminum B.V., registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 12015399, located at Rijnaakkade 6 in Venlo, available on telephone number +31 (0)77 389 88 88 and by e-mail at privacy@mifa .eu. 

Purposes of data processing

Mifa processes personal data for: 

  • The formation and implementation of the concluded agreement(s); 
  • Service purposes, such as contacting and answering questions you have asked, for example via the website; 
  • Compliance with legal obligations. Mifa processes your data to comply with legal obligations, such as tax obligations; 
  • Marketing purposes, such as: 
  • Promotional purposes, for example sending newsletters, displaying and sending information, service messages or other electronic messages on Mifa websites and beyond via advertising networks and social media channels, such as Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn; 
  • Profiling Purposes. This includes sharing and combining personal data to develop a profile so that we can better tailor the content of our websites, information, advertisements, products and services to your interests and behaviour. 
  • Development and analysis purposes to further develop and improve our websites, for statistical analysis and market research, for example we use Google Analytics to analyze and improve visitor behavior. The basis for this processing is legitimate interest. Reference is made to the cookie policy. 

Your personal data will be processed by us for entering into and executing agreements for our services and managing the resulting relationships, including carrying out activities aimed at increasing the customer base. If the personal data is not provided, we cannot contact you or, in the case of a newsletter subscription, inform you about our services and activities. 

If you fill in a contact/quote, job application or newsletter subscription form on the website, or send us an e-mail, the data you send us will be kept for as long as the nature of the form or the content of the e-mail determines. e-mail is necessary for the complete answer and handling thereof. Your rights

As a data subject, you have a number of rights, including: Inspection, Rectification, Oblivion, Restrictions, Objection, Portability of your personal data. As a data subject, you also have the right to submit a complaint regarding the processing of personal data to the data protection authority and/or court. 

Any data subject may submit a request for 

  1. receive a copy of the data; 
  1. correct the data; 
  1. delete the personal data that Mifa has stored; 
  1. restrict the processing of personal data; 
  1. object to the use of the personal data; 
  1. exercise rights related to data portability (i.e. transferring personal data), in accordance with applicable local law, including the GDPR.

If the data subject resides in the European Union, the data subject may submit a complaint or express his/her concerns to his/her local data protection authority about the way in which Mifa uses or processes his/her personal data.

Analytics

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to keep track of general visitor data and to analyze how effective our AdWords ads on Google search result pages are. The data is therefore used for statistical analyzes of visiting and clicking behavior on the website. We also use this to optimize the functioning of the website. We have also set up Google Analytics in a privacy-friendly way, so that IP addresses are anonymized and data is sent over a secure connection. 

We have a processing agreement with Google. The statistical data is transferred to and stored by Google on servers in Europe and the United States. read it Google privacy policy for more information as well as the specific privacy policy of Google Analytics. For information about how Google is compliant with the GDPR, Google has specific pages: Google Cloud and the GDPR inwhat Google does in the field of data protection. 

Google uses this information to keep track of how our website is used, to provide us with reports about the website and to provide Mifa, as an advertiser, with information about the effectiveness of our campaigns. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally obliged to do so, or insofar as these third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. We have no influence on this. 

  

We would like to point out explicitly that this data can never be traced back to you as a person or individual by Mifa. The data collected by Mifa will not be provided to third parties. 

Hotjar

We use Hotjar to better understand the needs of our users and to optimize this service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our user experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, etc.) and this allows us to build and maintain our service with user feedback . Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data about the behavior of our users and their devices (in particular the IP address of the device (captured and stored only in anonymized form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), preferred language used to view our website). Hotjar stores this information in a pseudonymised user profile. Neither Hotjar nor we will ever use this information to identify individual users or link it to further details of an individual user. Social media

Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Google place cookies so that they recognize you when you are logged in. This works through pieces of code (scripts) that come from these social networks themselves. These scripts sometimes also place cookies (we have no influence on this).

Profiling

Based on behavior on the website, profiles are created with marketing lists, so that we can show visitors on other sites relevant advertisements based on the marketing cookies. This will show you relevant advertisements as a visitor, as this is in line with previously displayed behavior on the website. With this we hope to be able to inform you even better about our services and articles. This data cannot be traced back to a specific person. 

Facebook Conversion pixel

Our website(s) use the Facebook Conversion Pixel from Facebook, Inc. (“Facebook”). This tool allows us to track the actions of users who visit our site(s) by clicking on our ads in Facebook, so that we can collect information about our Facebook ads. Data collected by the Conversion Tracking Pixel is anonymous, which means that we do not have access to the personally identifiable information of the users being tracked. Collected data is stored and processed by Facebook, who may link the data to your account and use the data for their own advertising purposes. You can change your browser options at any time to stop accepting cookies from the Facebook Conversion Tracking Pixel. You can choose to see targeted information by your settings for Facebook ads update. You can opt out of behavioral advertising from Facebook and other companies through the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) opt-outtool. 

Sharpspring

When a user visits our website, interacts with our website or clicks on a link that directs the user to our website, the user’s browser automatically provides certain information about the user’s device (computer, tablet, smartphone) and the activities of the user. This includes: 

  • Preferences and settings: time zone, language and font size.
  • Identifiers: IP-adres
  • Technical information: device type, operating system name and version, device manufacturer, browser information (type, version), screen resolution.
  • Geographical information: Geographical location derived from the IP address.

We collect this information for marketing purposes. Until the user becomes a ‘lead’, this data cannot be linked to a specific person. 

Lead Data

When a visitor becomes a lead, for example by requesting a white paper or completing a contact form, we will collect the information provided to us through the form used. The information is provided directly and voluntarily by the individual. Depending on the circumstances, the information may include: 

  • First and last name
  • Name of the company
  • E-mail address
  • Street address, city, state, province and/or country
  • phone number
  • Website URL
  • Social Media Profiles

Third Party Information

SharpSpring also collects information from third parties, such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. This information has been made public by the user of the social media profile. Such information may be used by SharpSpring to complete profiles of leads. SharpSpring obtains this information from the users with a warranty that the user has consented to the collection and sharing of this information or the information is available in public records where collection is permitted.

Social Media

You can edit or remove the permission you have granted SharpSpring to use information from your connected social media accounts using the privacy settings on your social media account. Refer to the following instructions on how to change or remove remote access on any platform:

Newsletter: SharpSpring

We offer a newsletter with which we want to inform and inspire interested parties. Your e-mail address will only be added to the list of subscribers with your explicit consent. Every newsletter contains a link with which you can unsubscribe. Until then, the data will be kept. The subscriber base of the newsletter is not provided to third parties. We use SharpSpring to support the distribution of our newsletter and associated communications. SharpSpring retains personal data in backups for seven days. Data may be stored outside the EU, but SharpSpring complies with the Privacy Shield for this. 

 

CRM system: Lotus Notes

In our Lotus Notes CRM system, we store personal data of our customers to support our services and data of interested parties for the benefit of our marketing. 

 

Customer Service

Chhatra

Our site uses Chatra, a live chat software provided by Roger Wilco LLC. (“Chatra”), to provide real-time one-on-one live support to customers and visitors. When visitors contact us through Chatra, they may optionally provide their name and/or email address to continue correspondence via email. Processing Agreement 

We have signed a processing agreement with all companies that process data from us. This sets out, among other things, what the personal data may be processed for and which security measures must be taken where the personal data are stored. It also states that those who process the data must treat it confidentially and may not process it on their own for a completely different purpose than stated in the processing agreement.
