The Role
As Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the commercial success of Mifa. In this role, you have significant influence on the company’s future. Your focus lies primarily on implementing new technologies, either to meet customer demand, to streamline customer processes, or even more excitingly, to pleasantly surprise the customer.

As Commercial Manager, you will report directly to our CEO, Rob van Oene. Together with him and the other members of the management team, you will create a strategy in the form of a sales and marketing plan, determining the company’s direction. You identify opportunities and trends to capitalize on them to the fullest.

In this pivotal role, you will demonstrate how to maintain relationships in an innovative and effective manner, thereby binding customers to Mifa. You will serve as a coach and inspirer for the sales team, empowering everyone to bring out their best. At the same time, you will facilitate the customer in obtaining what they need by further developing internal collaboration.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing a sales and marketing strategy, including translating it into objectives;
  • Managing and expanding key accounts, including implementing a new business and up- and cross-sell strategy;
  • Leading, motivating, and inspiring the teams, leading by example;
  • Continuously improving and securing various internal processes;
  • Conducting performance evaluations and development discussions.

What we expect from you

The right candidate

As Commercial Manager, you are a visionary who takes ownership. You are not afraid to show yourself and, as mentioned, you are an example for the sales and marketing teams. You enjoy getting your hands dirty and have an infectious winning mentality.

You thrive in a fairly autonomous role, think in solutions, and strive for the best achievable result, with the customer at the center. You are a true networker and brim with positive energy. Furthermore, ideally, you possess:

  • A completed, relevant HBO/WO education;
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in a comparable, commercial B2B role and demonstrable experience in managing commercial and creative teams;
  • Experience within, or a strong affinity with a technical (production) environment is a must;
  • A track record in developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies;
  • Excellent command of the Dutch and English language in both speech and writing. Knowledge of the German language is a plus.
