The position
As a Metrology Engineer, you are responsible for accurately measuring, analyzing, and safeguarding product and process quality. This role combines in-depth expertise in 3D measurement programming with the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Statistical Process Control (SPC) across the organization. The Metrology Engineer ensures that critical product and process characteristics are measured and monitored reliably, reproducibly, and in full compliance with specifications.
Your impact
3D Metrology and programming
- You develop, optimize, and maintain 3D measurement programs.
- You define and validate measurement strategies for new and existing products.
- You implement continuous improvements in measurement methods and measurement setups.
SPC
- You develop, implement, and maintain SPC frameworks for key processes.
- You monitor process stability and capability through trend analyses, control charts, and capability studies.
- You advise production and engineering teams based on data-driven insights.
The department
As Metrology Engineer you are part of our Quality Control team. The team consists of about 15 colleagues. You report to the Quality Control Manager.
What we expect
We are looking for a proactive and motivated team player who is accustomed to working in a dynamic organization. You solve problems effectively, take a hands-on approach, and actively contribute ideas for improvement. You take ownership of your work and always think one step ahead.
- You have proven education on technical education or college level, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical field.
- You have extensive knowledge of 3D measurement techniques and relevant software packages (e.g. PC‑DMIS).
- You have experience with SPC tools and statistical analysis methods.
- You have knowledge of correlation studies and experience with QMS software.
- You possess strong communication skills and are able to clearly convey technical information.
